Teaching method
  • Programme is practical and uses theory and research to underpin real time applications.
  • Class sessions are interactive and utilize a combination of teaching methods including lectures, case studies, experiential exercises, online support and class discussions.

  • Teaching staff are drawn from: senior academics holding formal appointments within the University and senior professionals from the business community and distinguished visiting scholars from New Zealand and overseas.

Participation of business and/or government sectors

  • New students have significant work experience and bring with them a wealth of practical business knowledge. Mutual learning from peers is a key feature of the programme.
  • Each paper has time allocated for Guest speakers, usually business people who want to share their experience with new students.
  • The research component is often undertaken within the students own company providing an opportunity to develop consulting and research skills.
  • Assignments throughout the programme are directly linked to real business cases and also involve your own company.
  • Involvement of Alumni is encouraged at all levels of the MBA, as policy advisers, guest presenters and lead lecturers.
