Participation of business and/or government sectors
Examples of events and forums that involve practitioner interaction: - Friday
Forums - 10 times a year a business practitioner of note is invited
to address the MBA class. Informal sessions with emphasis
on interaction and questions.
- In Class Presentations - a significant
number of courses rely on one or two guest presentations from
the professional/ practitioner
community. Some courses also make use of off-site visits.
- Applied
Projects - most courses have a portion of the course assessment
focused on applied projects and assignments that require
interaction with the professional/practitioner community. These
projects
and assignments often require students to tackle real issue business
issues, including analysis and action planning.
- Alumni Involvement
- alumni are actively involved in the programme - some attend
professional update seminars while others partake
in special electives. A good ongoing relationship between alumni and
current students, facilitating networking and employment
search.
